Hong Kong Exclusive: The First-Ever Presentation of Major Paintings by Xia Yu in Hong Kong

Indulge in “Golden Hour” – the major showcase of works by artist Xia Yu, exclusively at the K11 MUSEA Art and Cultural Center. Signifying Xia Yu’s first presentation in Hong Kong curated by Laura Shao, this project features over 30 selections of signature paintings focusing on his evolving creative journey since 2020.

For more than a decade, Xia Yu has consistently worked with tempera as his primary medium of practice. Through Xia’s continuous exploration and refinement, this historical material has manifested itself into a unique painting method with a translucent texture that embodies Eastern aesthetics, which in turn imparts new forms and meanings perceptive of the era.

Immerse in the world of Xia Yu’s artism with the relentless exploration of medium at K11 MUESA Art and Cultural Center now.
